Valerio Nicolai
An AI and EU AI Act advisor who also builds the systems.
I hold a degree in computer engineering, specialising in industrial automation, and completed further studies in satellite navigation and local public transport management.
For years I worked in regulated sectors: public transport, digital projects for public bodies, public tenders. From public transport to AI the thread is the same: complex processes, with strict rules, where something only counts if it can be demonstrated.
I connect three activities: AI adoption, system development and preparation of AI Act controls. As an advisor, I support AI adoption in a high-tech industrial company, from team guidelines to AI Act planning. As a developer, I design and operate production platforms with AI agents, automated tests and logs.
I am building my own method for the AI Act, “compliance as evidence”: every obligation becomes a control, every control produces evidence.
How I work
- I handle every project personally, from the assessment to the release.
- I start with a fixed-price assessment, then we decide together whether to go further.
- On legal and privacy matters I work with the client's legal counsel and DPO.
